Job summary

Go Solar Solutions is seeking a Solar Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in solar PV systems and inverter troubleshooting. You will diagnose inverter faults, perform commissioning and support site maintenance across Mumbai metropolitan projects.

The role involves targeting electrical safety, coordinating with service teams, and ensuring reliable performance of solar plants through O&M and on-site inspections.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in solar PV systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Experience with inverter commissioning and O&M.
• Ability to diagnose inverter faults and interpret alarms.
• Knowledge of DCDB, ACDB, MCCB, MCB, SPD, isolators and earthing.
• Willingness to travel to project sites in Navi Mumbai and Mumbai.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot inverter faults, alarms and error codes.
• Troubleshoot Sungrow and other inverters, config and basic commissioning.
• Perform electrical fault finding on AC and DC sides of PV systems.
• Check and troubleshoot protection systems and earthing.
• Monitor plant performance via remote portals and diagnose generation issues.
• Visit sites for breakdown, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate with manufacturers/service teams for major issues and warranty complaints.
• Assist in commissioning, testing and synchronization of solar plants.
• Carry out electrical testing with multimeter, clamp meter, megger and earth tester.
• Prepare site inspection and fault reports and maintenance records.
• Identify generation losses and suggest corrective actions.
• Support project teams to resolve electrical issues during implementation.
• Ensure adherence to electrical safety procedures and PPE.
• Provide technical support to customers regarding inverter operation.
• Travel to project sites across Navi Mumbai, Mumbai.

• Troubleshoot and diagnose solar inverter faults, alarms and error codes.
• Handle Sungrow and other make inverter troubleshooting, configuration and basic commissioning.
• Perform electrical fault finding on AC and DC sides of solar PV systems.
• Check and troubleshoot DCDB, ACDB, MCCB, MCB, SPD, isolators, earthing and protection systems.
• Identify issues related to string voltage, current, insulation resistance, polarity and loose/faulty connections.
• Monitor inverter and plant performance through remote monitoring portals and identify generation‑related issues.
• Visit project sites for breakdown, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance.
• Coordinate with inverter manufacturers/service teams for major technical issues and warranty‑related complaints.
• Support solar plant commissioning, testing and synchronization.
• Carry out electrical testing using appropriate instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, insulation tester/megger and earth tester.
• Prepare site inspection reports, fault reports, service reports and maintenance records.
• Identify generation losses and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with installation and project teams to resolve electrical issues during project execution.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and proper use of PPE at site.
