Job summary

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software testing for SaaS or enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and DevOps methodologies, with hands-on testing experience.
• Proficiency in API testing using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
• Experience leveraging AI-powered testing tools to improve test coverage and quality.

Responsibilities

• Analyse requirements and designs to define effective test strategies and plans.
• Design, execute, review, and maintain manual and automated test cases for functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, API, and UI testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, track and verify defects; perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks and data-driven test scripts using Selenium or Playwright.
• Integrate UI and API automation into CI/CD pipelines and improve coverage and stability.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, security, and performance of our SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies, developing automated test solutions, and leveraging AI-powered testing tools to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and defect detection.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Customer Success teams to deliver high-quality software releases in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and technical designs to define effective test strategies and test plans.
• Design, execute, review, and maintain manual and automated test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, end-to-end, API, database, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, prioritize, track, and validate defects; perform defect triage, root-cause analysis, and regression impact analysis.
• Develop and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks and reusable, data-driven test scripts using Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
• Integrate UI and API automation suites into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve automation coverage, stability, and execution efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, DevOps/SRE, Support teams, and clients throughout the SDLC.
• Provide QA estimates, test execution status, defect metrics, quality risks, and release-readiness reports.
• Support production issue investigation, customer-reported defect analysis, release validation, and production verification.
• Perform basic performance testing to validate response time, throughput, concurrency, error rates, and potential bottlenecks.

AI-Driven Testing

• Utilize AI-powered testing tools to accelerate test planning, test design, automation development, execution, and defect analysis.
• Generate test cases and test scenarios from business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical specifications.
• Create positive, negative, boundary, edge-case, exploratory scenarios, and reusable test data.
• Assist in generating and optimizing Selenium, Playwright, RestAssured, API test scripts, SQL queries, and automation code.
• Analyse application logs, stack traces, automation failures, execution reports, and potential regression-risk areas.
• Assist with defect classification, root-cause analysis, impact analysis, and defect documentation.
• Identify duplicate, redundant, low-value, or missed test scenarios to improve overall test coverage.
• Validate all AI-generated test cases, test data, scripts, and technical outputs for accuracy, security, business relevance, and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance for SaaS or enterprise applications.
