You will mentor juniors, participate in planning and bring a proactive testing mindset to delivery. Leverage AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance productivity while ensuring comprehensive defect management and reporting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software testing.
• Proficiency in manual testing, API testing and database validations (Cosmos DB).
• Experience with defect reporting/tracking using JIRA or TFS.
• Strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ability to estimate testing tasks and prepare test metrics.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements and design tests to remove ambiguities.

About the Role

We are seeing for a talented Sr. Software QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong expertise in software testing. Person will be responsible for carrying out all core testing activities (requirement Understanding, Test Design, Execution, Defect Management and Reporting) while working and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand the requirements and ask right questions to remove ambiguities from the requirements
• Implement right testing strategy for the module/projects under testing
• Identify correct test cases for requirements in scope
• Create/design and review test cases using optimized test design techniques
• Execute test cases on multiple environments and levels (web, API, database)
• Mentor Junior team members
• Test the applications for functional and non-functional aspects
• Participate in test planning and estimation activities
• Defect Management and status reporting
• Identify and raise risks on time
• Collaborate with QA team, Developers, product team and other cross-functional teams
• Utilize AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to enhance productivity.
