Job summary

Codezyng Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong automation testing expertise to join our technology team and ensure the quality and reliability of software developed for clients.

You will design and execute manual and automated tests, collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into builds. The role follows a hybrid work model with shift timings from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of software testing experience with automation
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress or Playwright
• API testing experience with Postman, Rest Assured or similar
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC and Agile
• Hands-on with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, TestRail)
• Experience in CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication; articulate quality risks
• Willingness to work in hybrid model with shift 4:00PM–1:00AM

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for web and API based applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using issue tracking tools.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze results to ensure product quality.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Ensure proper test coverage and test documentation for all features.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated tests into the build and deployment process.
• Provide timely updates on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics.
• Continuously improve testing frameworks and QA processes.
• Contribute to shift-left testing by collaborating early in the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in Software Testing with strong exposure to Automation Testing.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
• Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA,TestRail, etc.).
• Experience in CI/CD integration with tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate quality risks clearly.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model with shift timings from 4:00PM to 1:00AM

Preferred Skills

• Experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter, Locust.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow).
• Experience testing microservices-based architectures.
• Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., Copilot, Testim, Mabl, or similar).

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
