Job summary

TSS Consultancy is seeking a QA Tester to understand business and functional requirements, design comprehensive test scenarios, and execute functional, regression, and API tests. You will validate UI, workflows, and business logic while collaborating with developers, product analysts, and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes manual testing with exposure to Agile/Scrum, UAT, and defect tracking. FinTech domain familiarity is advantageous for this position in Navi Mumbai.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SDLC/STLC and testing lifecycle.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and user stories to identify testing needs.
• Design and prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data from business requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Manual Testing methodologies and testing principles.
• Experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and UAT testing.
• Experience using test management tools like Jira.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB for data validation.
• Experience in API testing with Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and participation in ceremonies.
• Ability to write effective test scenarios, test cases, and bug reports.
• Understanding of test planning, estimation, and execution processes.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts is a plus.
• Knowledge of FinTech and Capital Markets is a plus.

Required Skills

• Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Ability to analyze Business Requirement, Functional Requirement, and user stories to identify testing requirements.
• Experience in designing and preparing comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on business requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Manual Testing methodologies and testing principles.
• Hands-on experience in Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Experience of using test management tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
• Working knowledge of MongoDB for data validation and verification.
• Experience in API testing using Postman or similar API testing tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
• Ability to write effective test scenarios, test cases, and bug reports.
• Understanding of test planning, test estimation, and test execution processes.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing concepts and frameworks is an added advantage.
• Understanding of Capital Markets and Financial Services domain, including Stock Markets, Mutual Funds, IPOs, Demat Accounts, Trading Platforms, and related investment products.
• Ensure adherence to organizational Information Security policiesandpractices

Domain Knowledge

Candidates with FinTech and Capital Markets experience will be preferred, with a good understanding of financial products, trading platforms, investment workflows, and market processes.

Good to Have

• ISTQB Certification or similar qualifications.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, API testing.
• Training or certification in manual testing or QA processes.
• Basic knowledge of the BFSI domain or regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with different operating systems and basic networking.
