Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a detail-oriented Software Test Engineer in Bengaluru, India, with 2–5 years of hands-on experience in manual testing. The role focuses on test case design, requirement analysis, and functional/ regression testing, while leveraging AI tools to improve test coverage and efficiency.

You will analyze requirements, design and execute comprehensive test cases, report defects with clear steps, and collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality releases.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in Software Testing / QA.
• Strong hands-on experience in Manual Testing.
• Excellent understanding of test scenario and test case design.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Good understanding of STLC and defect management.
• Ability to identify edge cases, boundary conditions, negative scenarios, and testing risks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Practical experience using AI tools for software testing and QA activities.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test case design, requirement analysis, functional and regression testing, and defect management, along with the ability to leverage AI tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements and identify comprehensive test scenarios.
• Design, document, and execute detailed test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and edge-case scenarios.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Identify potential risks and ensure adequate risk‑based test coverage.
• Execute test cases, document results, and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Participate in defect triage, root‑cause discussions, and verification of fixes.
• Follow STLC and defect management processes and maintain testing documentation.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues.

Mandatory Skills

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Understanding of test automation concepts.
• Exposure to Playwright automation framework.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Experience with API testing.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Postman, or similar QA tools.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
