Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Manager with a strong background in software development and quality processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on software development experience, significant exposure to CMMI for Development, and expertise in Agile and Waterfall methodologies. The role focuses on driving quality audits, process improvements, risk management, and compliance within a Tier-1 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Audits & Assessments: Act as Assessment Team Member (ATM) in CMMI certification journeys; lead/participate in ISO 9001 & CMMI audits.
• Process Excellence: Define, implement, and monitor software development quality processes in line with CMMI for Development, Agile, and Waterfall.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure alignment with ISO 9001, CMMI, and related frameworks; conduct internal/external quality audits.
• Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate software-related risks throughout the SDLC.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive process enhancements, corrective actions, and adoption of best practices across teams.
• Training & Enablement: Conduct sessions on quality practices, RCA, Agile, and risk management.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 6–10 years in software industry, with minimum 6 years in software development (preferably product companies, else IT services).
• Must be focused on development project quality processes (not support/maintenance/ITES).
• At least 75% of career in Tier-1 firms (if from IT services).
• Background: BE/BTech, started career as a software developer with hands-on coding experience.
• Certifications: CMMI Assessment Team Member; ISO Lead Assessor preferred.
• Methodologies: Strong knowledge of CMMI for Development, Agile, and awareness of Waterfall.
• Skills: Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and analytical ability.
