Job summary

Wissen Infotech in Bengaluru, India, is hiring a Software QA Engineer to design, develop and execute manual and automated tests for web applications and REST APIs.

You will perform functional, regression, sanity, smoke and end-to-end testing with strong API testing skills using Postman, SoapUI or Rest Assured, and automate with Java, Selenium WebDriver and TestNG/JUnit.

2+ years of industry experience, good understanding of STLC/SDLC and defect tracking with Azure DevOps or JIRA is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software testing experience with API and functional testing.
• Hands-on manual testing experience.
• Automation experience using Java with Rest Assured, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG or JUnit.
• Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect life cycle, Agile testing practices and test documentation.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA or ALM.

Responsibilities

• Analyze regression execution results, prepare test summary reports, and communicate testing status, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools, including validation of payloads, headers, authentication, response codes, and business rules.
• Proven automation/scripting experience using Java with Rest Assured, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, or JUnit.
• Good understanding of STLC, SDLC, defect life cycle, Agile testing practices, and test documentation.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or ALM.
