Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru seeks a Technical Lead (Test Automation) with 9+ years of QA experience and 5+ years in automation to design and drive automation strategies. You will lead end-to-end automated testing across back-end and front-end systems, mentor QA engineers, and collaborate with global stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile environment.

The role requires strong SQL skills, experience with Calypso backoffice functions is valued, and you will contribute to test

• Overall, 9+ years of QA experience and at least 5+ years in automation tools.
• Proficient in automation testing with tools using languages Python / Java.
• Design and develop automation framework based on project needs.
• Extensive experience in Test Management tools like ALM, Zephyr Scale, X-ray, etc.
• Experience in test planning, test design, and test execution of highly complex systems.
• Hands-on automation for end-to-end testing including back-end or front-end applications.
• Collaborate with Developers, Business and multiple global stakeholders to drive QA.
• Deep understanding of testing lifecycle & defect lifecycle.
• Hands on experience writing SQL queries.
• Experience working in Scrum teams.
• Communicate with Business and tech teams to understand functionalities.
• Good knowledge of Agile framework and ceremonies.
• Back Office Systems experience

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategies, plans, and maintain automation test data.
• Develop and continuously improve automated tests as new system features and enhancements are developed.
• Execute automated tests and manage the resulting defect log through the point of defect fix validation.
• Ensure the appropriate test environments and infrastructures are in place and kept up to date.
• Identify and report to product team questionable functions, performance concerns, and inconsistencies.
• Document and mentor QA engineers in the use of testing framework.
• Assist in the identification, selection, and implementation of tools, technologies, and practices that support the overall QA process.
• Contribute to accurate time estimates for automation test development

Profile required

• 6 to 10 years hands on experience as a Business Analyst in Calypso
• Good exposure on Calypso Backoffice function, Message setup, workflow, settlement (SWIFTS), stromg knowledge on Accounting & statements, Settlement instruction, BO Positions & expert in customization around Calypso
• Product Knowledge on capital markets as Securities including Corporate Actions, Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Listed and OTC Derivatives
• Able to trouble shoot & out of box thinking for the solutioning & designing
• Ownership attitude & good influencing skill is expected
• Highly motivated, good communication, ability to follow the open point till the closure is expected
• Hands on writing SQL for analysis & good to have Unix commands understanding & basic shell scripts
• Agile environment exposure preferred
• Must have strong analytical skills
