Job summary

Société Générale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Business Analyst with deep Calypso knowledge. You will own functional analysis, train team members, and coordinate across Business and IS teams to refine requirements and develop detailed user stories.

The role requires 8+ years in Calypso, strong analytical skills, and an ownership mindset to drive solutions from conception to delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have 8+ years hands on experience as a Business Analyst in Calypso.
• Strong knowledge of Calypso Backoffice, SWIFTS, settlement processes and related accounting.
• Proven ability to liaison with product owners and stakeholders to analyse requirements.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills with ownership attitude and influencing ability.

Responsibilities

• Act as a functional expert with end-to-end business process knowledge on Calypso applications.
• Train new joiners and team members on product features, specifications, user stories and solutioning.
• Collaborate with business and support units, including Product Owner, to analyse and challenge requirements.
• Translate requirements into functional specs and detailed user stories.
• Ensure deliverables meet time, cost and plan constraints and contribute to test strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Functional expert, with strong knowledge of end-end business process on Calypso Application
• Expected sphere of influence and collaboration is expected to be immediate team and interfacing teams.
• Skills involving negotiation and convincing are important, but person needn't be an expert.
• Train new joiners and team members functionally on the product, Functional Specifications, User Stories, Design and Solutioning (Impact Analysis and Validations)
• Liaise with all related Business and Support Unit stakeholders, including Product Owner, to analyse and challenge business requirements,
• Leading to functional specifications and detailed user stories
• Suggest better ways of working and delivering the tasks assigned
• Present domain related topics in relevant forums and discussions
• Help to implement decisions taken during IS Strategy Opco’s of her/his conurbation
• Work out the team's deliverables as per the planning chalked out by the PO
• Make sure that all the deliverables are met as per time, cost and plan
• To help in implementing project/applications/services architecture and propose modifications
• To identify pain points and highlight the same along with some high-level solution proposal
• Research to determine if solutions currently exist within calypso or required customization
• Strengthen functional testing strategy definition and activities
• Contribute to Product functional improvement with metrics on business usage
• Validate the effectiveness and coverage of test strategy

Profile required

• 8+ years hands on experience as a Business Analyst in Calypso
• Good exposure on Calypso Backoffice function, Message setup, workflow, settlement (SWIFTS), strong knowledge on Accounting & statements, Settlement instruction, BO Positions & expert in customization around Calypso
• Product Knowledge on capital markets as Securities including Corporate Actions, Money Market, Foreign Exchange, Listed and OTC Derivatives
• Able to trouble shoot & out of box thinking for the solutioning & designing
• Ownership attitude & good influencing skill is expected
• Highly motivated, good communication, ability to follow the open point till the closure is expected
• Hands on writing sql for analysis & good to have Unix commands understanding & basic shell scripts
• Agile environment exposure preferred
• Must have strong analytical skills
