Job summary

Sabre is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Bengaluru to develop, test, and debug complex software solutions. You will contribute to a dynamic, AI-native tech stack, with emphasis on Java, J2EE, Spring, and microservices.

The role requires hands-on coding, design pattern expertise, and experience with SOAP/REST web services. Responsibilities include leading project aspects, collaborating with teams, and delivering robust software with documentation.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of hands-on coding in Core Java (preferably JDK 17+) and J2EE; strong data-structuring knowledge.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design & Programming.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Framework and related modules (spring-core, soap & spring-boot).
• Experience applying GOF design patterns in software solutions.
• Strong experience in web services development (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with SOA and microservices architecture.
• Relational DBs (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (Mongo).
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux, shell scripting.
• Experience with Maven, Jenkins, Git, GitHub.
• Understanding of TDD with unit, system, integration, and performance tests (JMeter, JConsole).
• Experience with tools like SoapUI, Postman; Bruno; SQL developer.
• Knowledge & Experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Sr Software Engineering Job Description Responsible for developing, coding, testing, and debugging new highly complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity. Provides direction for entire project or a project team. Applies advanced skills and concepts to oversee large, complex projects. Has good understanding of business application. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. May assist in development of software technical documentation. Demonstrates software. Demonstrates broad knowledge of technical solutions. Designs and codes complex applications using advanced technology. May create optimization programs to resolve problems. May design and build prototype applications.

MANDATORY SKILLS:

• 1. Hands on coding experience in Core Java(preferably JDK 17+) and J2EE technologies with 5-7 years of experience, good understanding of data structures
• 2. Complete understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis, Design & Programming
• 3. Hands on experience with Spring Framework and related (spring-core, soap & spring-boot)
• 4. Hands on experience using Software Design Patterns of GOF, J2EE and related
• 5. Strong Experience in web services development, SOAP and REST
• 6. Experience in SOA and micro services architecture
• 7. Complete Understanding of relational databases and NoSQL databases. Relational DB (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL (Mongo)
• 8. Demonstrated knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, Shell Scripts
• 9. Experience with Maven, Jenkins, GIT , Github
• 10. Understanding of TDD practices and experience with Unit, System, Integration Testing & Performance Testing - JMeter, JConsole etc
• 11. Experience working with tools like IntelliJ, Putty, Winscp, SoapUI/Postman/Bruno, Sql developer.
• 12. Knowledge & Experience in GCP
