Sabre Travel Technologies seeks a Senior Product Manager to own product vision, strategy and lifecycle execution for travel technology products in a hybrid Bengaluru role. Translate market needs into user stories and drive profitability while collaborating with engineering, sales and care teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in airline technology and 3+ years in market-facing roles, with strong English communication and a track record of delivering customer-focused software with AI/ML

Responsibilities

• Drive product vision & strategy, requirements documentation and analysis.
• Ensure alignment to technology strategy throughout the product life cycle.

• Understand/monitor competitive and market landscape.
• Conduct visits, customer touch-bases, focus groups, conferences.
• Support sales engineering and delivery/care teams.
• Be the product SME inside scrum teams; write stories and acceptance criteria.
• Create, refine, prioritize backlog and accept work.
• Attend scrum ceremonies and guide teams.
• Analyze, triage and troubleshoot maintenance issues.
• Conduct internal or external demos as needed.

Team Description Sabre is looking for a Senior Product Manager that will be responsible for the product vision, investment, planning, and execution throughout its life cycle, including increasing the profitability of existing products and developing new ones, and ensuring the delivery of the best solutions and meeting revenue and customer satisfaction goals. You will be proficient in the product, understand its structure and architecture, its capabilities. You will capture market needs, customer input, usage, data and translate those into user stories that meet customer and market requirements and support the company’s strategy and technical innovation goals. The role possesses a unique blend of business and technical skills, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drive product vision & strategy, business requirements documentation and analysis

• Manage product area’s investment decisions, scope, roadmap, priorities
• Understand/monitor product's competitive and market landscape
• Conduct/attend visits, customer touch-bases, focus groups, conferences
• Support sales engineering and commercial/delivery/care teams
• Be the product's subject-matter expert (SME) inside scrum teams
• Write scrum team stories, acceptance criteria
• Create, refine, prioritize scrum team's backlog, and accept work
• Attend scrum ceremonies and provide guidance to scrum teams
• Analyze, triage and troubleshoot maintenance issues
• Conduct demos (internal or external, as needed)

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• 5 years of experience working with Airline technology
• 3 years of experience in market-facing roles (e.g. engaging with customers and prospects)
• Business and technology-oriented, with a strong product and functional background
• Abundant curiosity to delve into unfamiliar areas and quickly become proficient
• Ability to present a compelling solution to a business need that is grounded in technology
• Ownership mindset of individual and team objectives; with both tactical and strategic thinking to ensure measurable results
• Ability to work independently and resolve professional, technical or operational project challenges in a creative, methodical manner
• Comfortable working in a team-oriented, highly collaborative virtual environment that is geographically distributed
• Ability to successfully navigate in a multi-stakeholder environment where there are often competing priorities, goals and challenges across our diverse set of internal and external customers and partners
• Excellent self-organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize several projects in parallel
• Strong business acumen and situational awareness
• Must have excellent written and verbal English communications skills, and be a strong public speaker comfortable presenting or demonstrating technology in front of large groups at all levels of an organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office use for presentations and written communication

• Able to well define a product’s feature set
• Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related fields
• Experience with Full-Service Carriers, Low-Cost Carriers or Travel Agencies
• Knowledge of emerging trends in travel retailing and e-commerce (such as AI/ML, dynamic offers, etc.)
• Tech-savvy, ability to engage with Engineering colleagues to drive technical solutions
• Experience with software development process with Java, C++, SQL is a plus
