Job summary

PeepalCo in Bengaluru is seeking a SDET-I to drive mobile automation across Android and iOS. You will own end-to-end automation, from identifying key workflows to implementing scalable tests, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines for rapid feedback.

The role emphasizes leveraging AI/GenAI to generate tests and improve maintenance, collaborating with developers, product, and QA to deliver high-quality wealth-tech products.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in SDET/QA Automation/Software Testing.
• Experience with mobile automation using Appium or similar frameworks.
• Understanding of UI, API and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tooling.

SDET-I — Software Development Engineer in Test

We are looking for an SDET-I who is passionate about automation, quality engineering, and building scalable solutions that improve release confidence and engineering efficiency.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain front-end automation for Android and iOS mobile applications, with a focus on reliable and scalable automation.
• Understand critical user journeys and business workflows and identify the right scenarios to automate based on risk, impact and usage.
• Take end-to-end ownership of automation — from identifying opportunities and designing solutions to implementation, execution, debugging and continuous improvement.
• Drive automation initiatives proactively and continuously identify gaps in automation coverage and quality.
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to provide fast and actionable feedback during development and releases.
• Focus on outcomes, not test-case count — improve regression time, automation reliability, defect detection and release confidence.
• Use AI/GenAI tools and approaches to accelerate test-case generation, automation development, test maintenance, failure analysis and identify new automation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Developers, Product and QA teams to build testable, high-quality products.
• Investigate automation failures, perform root-cause analysis and ensure issues are driven to closure.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in SDET / QA Automation / Software Testing.
• Hands-on experience with mobile automation using Appium, MCP, Flutter testing frameworks or equivalent.
• Good understanding of UI, API and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git and automation frameworks.
• Experience using AI/GenAI for test automation or software testing is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging and analytical skills.
• A quality and outcome-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
