Job summary

SourcingXPress is seeking an experienced SDET Automation Engineer for its Bengaluru office to drive quality engineering across enterprise applications. The role focuses on scalable automation frameworks, API/UI testing, and data validation, with hands-on coding and AI-assisted tooling.

The candidate will design and implement automated test strategies, participate in Agile delivery, and collaborate with DevOps and product teams to ensure release quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as an SDET / QA Automation Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber BDD, Serenity BDD, and REST Assured.
• Good programming skills in Java with experience in automation framework architecture and reusable component development.
• Experience with Spring Boot applications and backend testing.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in data validation, test data creation, database testing, ETL testing, data warehouse testing, MDM, data pipelines and Data APIs.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, defect management, and quality metrics.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and in-sprint automation practices.
• Experience with release deployments and testing across multiple environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing and quality gates.
• Create and maintain reusable automation libraries, utilities, and reporting dashboards.
• Develop automation solutions for enterprise applications built using Java and Spring Boot.
• Participate in requirement analysis, user story refinement, sprint planning, and test strategy discussions.
• Manage test data, test execution, defect lifecycle, and quality metrics across environments.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, DevOps, and product owners in Agile delivery teams.
• Leverage AI tools to improve automation productivity and code quality.
• Support release validation and deployment activities across development, QA, and production environments.

Position: SDET Engineer Automation We are seeking an experienced SDET Engineer Automation to drive quality engineering and automation initiatives for enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing scalable automation frameworks, API and UI testing, data validation, and integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. This role requires a quality‑first mindset with hands‑on coding experience and exposure to AI‑assisted development tools. Salary Range: ₹ 22‑26 Lacs PA.
