Job summary

Franklin Templeton is seeking an accomplished software engineering leader to drive enterprise-scale technology implementations. You will design scalable microservices in Java/Spring Boot, build AI-powered capabilities, and deploy secure REST APIs in a cloud-native Azure environment.

You will work with Product, Data Science and Compliance teams to ensure high performance, security, and observability while advancing CI/CD and modern engineering practices. Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale technology implementations.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and integration patterns.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with REST and OpenAPI standards.

Responsibilities

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role?

Experience

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale technology implementations.
• Experience with Artificial Intelligence-assisted development tools, including Copilot, Codex, and Devin.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and integration patterns.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in architecture and system design.
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, cloud-native architectures, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with REST and OpenAPI standards.
• Financial services or wealth management experience preferred.
• Experience supporting platform modernization initiatives.

Soft Skills

• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Effective stakeholder management skills.
