You will handle iSeries administration, security, backups, and job scheduling while driving upgrades and performance enhancements across the IBMi environment. A strong background in HMC/VIOS, PCI/SOX auditing, and HA tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–10 years in iSeries/AS400 administration and support.
• Strong knowledge of IBM i OS, PTFs, and application upgrades.
• Experience with BRMS, Native backups, and data replication.

Responsabilités

Position Overview

The ideal candidate should have deep technical knowledge of AS400 systems and be capable of leading development efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Work Experience

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in iSeries Administration and support
• IBMi (iSeries / AS400) System Administration with experience / exposure in H/W, S/W areas.

Technical Requirement

• IBMi (iSeries / AS400) Administration Skills.

Key Responsibilities

• IBMi (iSeries / AS400) System Technologies including planning and implementation of upgrades with HMC and VIOS Management.
• OS400 Security, BRMS and Native Backup using Tapes and Virtual Tapes, Operations Monitoring and Data Replication
• Planning, Review and Implementation of IBMi OS, PTFs and Application Software Upgrades.
• Trouble shooting of data and application/system performance problems by utilizing tools like IBM iDoctor, Performance Manager.
• Manage IBMi (iSeries / AS400) Job Scheduling via Robot, IBM Advanced Job Scheduler, Native Job Scheduler, Control-M, Halcyon.
• Power System, VIOS and HMC Management.
• iSeries Auditing - PCI and SOX Compliance Technology.
• IBMi (iSeries / AS400) H/W and S/W Configuration, Install, Migration and Maintenance.

Qualification & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of Automation/Monitoring Tools
• Knowledge in ACS Client Installation and Setup.
• Knowledge in iSeries New System Builds and Decommission.
• Strong knowledge of iSeries PTF/APAR Management.
• Strong Knowledge on iSeries OS400 Security Management.
• Expertise Knowledge in High Availability – MIMIX, iCluster.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
