• AS400 Developer Experience: 3-5 years Department: Digital Engineering Employment Type: Full-time Role Overview We are looking for an experienced AS400 (IBM i) Developer to design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications on the IBM iSeries platform. The ideal candidate has strong RPG programming skills, a solid understanding of DB2 for i, and experience supporting and modernizing legacy enterprise systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and maintain applications on the IBM i (AS400/iSeries) platform using RPG (RPG IV / RPGLE / Free-format RPG), CL, and SQL. Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and robust solutions. Develop and optimize DB2 for i database objects - physical/logical files, tables, views, and stored procedures. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime for business-critical systems. Perform code reviews, unit testing, and support system integration and user acceptance testing (UAT). Maintain and enhance existing legacy applications while supporting modernization initiatives (e.g., migration to free-format RPG, web enablement, API integration). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, and infrastructure teams. Create and maintain technical documentation for developed solutions. Adhere to coding standards, change management processes, and SDLC best practices.
