Job summary

Onward Technologies Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks an Embedded Software Developer to design, develop and support real-time embedded software. The role focuses on C/C++ for Linux-like platforms, with emphasis on systems analysis, documentation and robust fault isolation.

You will work in a team to meet project requirements, participate in reviews, and ensure high-quality software across the lifecycle. Bangalore office-based, permanent, WFO.

Qualifications

• BS in Software Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics is required and MS in a similar discipline is a plus with 4 10 years of work experience.
• Good understanding of Linux operating systems and networking (TCP/IP).
• Experience with SCM, change management, defect tracking, software builds and release processes.
• Experience with requirements tracing tools like ReqPro, DOORS.
• Strong communication skills and detail-oriented, self-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design and develop software for real-time applications on Linux-like platforms using C/C++.
• Participate in design, coding, testing, debugging, configuration and documentation per policies.
• Collaborate with team to meet project requirements within schedule and budget.
• Engage in systems analysis and interface definition for software architecture and design.

EmbeddedSoftware Developer

Design, develop and support real-timeembeddedsoftware applications for Wabtec Corporation, a leading supplier of technology-based products and services for the rail and transit industries.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

• Analysis, design and development of software for real-time applications on a Linux-like platform using C and/or C++.
• Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software as per the companys policies and procedures.
• Working with a team to develop solutions that meet project requirements within the program schedule and budget constraints.
• Take an active role in systems analysis and design of real time applications, defining interfaces between system segments and software architecture and design.
• Facilitate support for fault isolation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis activities during system integration and validation testing.
• Triage reported issues to assess impact, determine work arounds and propose solutions.
• Assist with activities like requirements, design and code reviews.
• Work from Wabtec Bangalore office to have work collaboration.

Qualifications:
