Role Overview

The Software Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, integration, validation, and maintenance of embedded software and GUI/HMI applications for railway electronic systems. The role requires strong expertise in embedded Linux/RTOS development, railway communication protocols, HMI frameworks, device driver development, system integration, and railway safety/reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop embedded software for ARM/Intel/i.MX based embedded platform equipped railway electronics products, such as:

Driver Display Units (DDU)

TCMS

Remote Monitoring Systems

Develop low-level software including:

BSP

Bootloader

Device Drivers

Middleware

RTOS

Implement and debug railway communication protocols:

MVB

CAN

Ethernet

RS485

USB

TCP-IP

TSSP

TRDP

Perform software integration with CCU, VCU, TCMS and other onboard train systems.

Participate in software architecture design, requirement analysis, and technical reviews.
