In this role, you will:
- Evaluate system engineering solutions and select the best path forward to build scalable and reliable systems.
- Develop system-level, product-level requirements documents and design documents such as Customer Requirements Specifications, Product Design Documents, and System Requirements Specifications.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the TCOS and Dispatch product line, explaining system behavior to customers and development teams.
- Lead and contribute to future concepts and design enhancements for TCOS products using engineering principles and business standards.
- Translate customer needs, resolve specification issues, handle technical correspondence, and provide periodic updates to ensure satisfaction.
- Triage customer-reported problems, define severity and priority, and perform initial investigations to reduce team workload.
- Demonstrate expert problem decomposition skills and navigate ambiguity efficiently.
- Engage frequently with the development team to facilitate discussions, clarify stories, and support testing and validation.
- Provide accurate status updates on content plans and execution to customers and leadership.
- Use persuasion and influencing skills to align customer, product manager, and engineering teams.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends, acting as a product and competitive landscape expert.
- Contribute to customer-facing documentation such as user manuals and installation instructions.
- Serve as scrum team authority for TCOS projects, managing backlog prioritization and ensuring sprint readiness.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to define short-term roadmap and prepare features for planning.
- Decompose features into vertical-slice user stories with SMART acceptance criteria and well‑defined business needs.
- Understand security and compliance requirements; integrate with Cyber Security and Compliance teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a System Engineer or equivalent role.
Eligibility Requirements (Country Specific):
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bangalore, India.
Desired Characteristics:
- Hands‑on experience decomposing requirements into Agile features and user stories with strong acceptance criteria.
- Ability to translate ambiguous work requests into actionable user stories.
- Experience with Rally, Jira, or similar defect/work tracking tools and generating Agile metrics reports.
- Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and collaboration with Quality Engineering and DevOps teams.
- Problem‑solving abilities with clear articulation of technical topics.
- Experience in configuration, requirements, change, and defect management.
- Implementation of robust development processes, including requirements tracing.

- Initiative to explore alternative technologies and problem‑solving approaches.
- Skill in documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.
- Analysis of technology choice impact and buy‑vs‑build recommendations.
