Own the transition and operational control of Software Asset Management activities across enterprise technology environments. The role connects software inventory, licensing data, compliance analysis, vendor governance, contract interpretation, and operational platforms to improve decision quality and reduce commercial and audit risk. You will work with technology, procurement, finance, legal, infrastructure, security, and external vendors to establish reliable processes and resolve complex licensing matters. Success means creating transparent software positions, improving control effectiveness, supporting contract decisions, and enabling stakeholders to act before risks become incidents or financial exposures. The role requires hands‑on understanding of Microsoft technologies and SAM platforms, combined with strong commercial judgement and disciplined stakeholder management. It is suited to an experienced professional who can lead transition work, challenge incomplete information, and build repeatable operating mechanisms across Gurgaon and Bangalore.
You bring 8–12 years of experience in Software Asset Management, IT asset management, licensing operations, technology compliance, vendor management, or a closely related enterprise technology function. You are comfortable owning ambiguous transition work while creating the structure needed for dependable execution. You can interpret licensing terms, test evidence, challenge data quality, and explain commercial or compliance implications in language that technology, procurement, finance, and legal stakeholders can act on. Your experience includes working with enterprise endpoint and identity environments, including Intune, SCCM, Active Directory, ServiceNow, and SAM Pro or comparable platforms. You demonstrate strong judgement when balancing compliance, cost, business need, and contractual obligations. You communicate clearly, document decisions, escalated material risks early, and follow actions through to closure. You are also able to build trust with vendors and internal teams while maintaining control discipline. A successful candidate combines technical understanding, commercial awareness, analytical rigour, and ownership of measurable outcomes rather than only task completion.
