Job summary

BuildxPartners seeks a Software Architect who will own backend architecture across APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure. You will guide Flutter frontend collaboration and ensure scalable, high-concurrency services integrated with AI-driven features.

The role requires 10+ years in software engineering, strong Python (Flask/FastAPI), and hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GCP. Lead and mentor across teams while delivering incremental, robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years of experience designing production-scale systems.
• Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs involving scalability, reliability, maintainability, and cost.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Extensive experience with Python backend development using Flask or FastAPI.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, resilient, cloud-native systems supporting AI-driven coaching experiences.

• Optimize backend services for performance and scalability, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across disciplines.
• Design and optimize database schemas for performance and data integrity in PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Containerize backend services using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes.
