Job summary

Qualifications

Role Overview

We are hiring a Principal Engineer to lead the technical design and development of highly scalable backend systems.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role involving architecture, system design, complex problem-solving and mentoring of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and build large-scale distributed backend systems .

• Improve system performance, reliability, scalability and availability .
• Solve complex problems related to concurrency, consistency and asynchronous processing .
• Own key architecture and technical design decisions.
• Work hands-on with critical components and production systems.
• Set engineering standards and provide technical guidance across teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and support technical decision-making.
• Explore and implement AI-assisted development and AI/ML solutions where relevant.

Must-Have Technical Skills

- 12+ years of backend engineering experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with Golang (Go) .
• Strong experience with Java, Python or C++ can also be considered.
• Deep understanding of Distributed Systems, Concurrency, Consistency Models and Asynchronous Architecture .
• Strong System Design and Architecture experience.
• Production experience with AWS, GCP or Azure .
• Strong experience with Relational and NoSQL databases .
• Strong troubleshooting experience across performance, reliability and scalability .
• Previous experience as a Staff Engineer, Principal Engineer or equivalent .
• Strong technical communication and mentoring skills.
