Job summary

Samvedna Development Society (SDS) is seeking a creative, proactive Communications & Social Media Manager to oversee end-to-end social media management, content creation, design, and digital branding. You will handle LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook, develop content calendars, and craft engaging posts, blogs, and project stories that highlight CSR initiatives and impact.

Qualifications

  • Graduation in any stream.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in social media, content writing, graphic design, digital communication, or digital marketing.
  • Experience with LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Strong writing, communication, creative, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Canva and graphic/video editing tools.
  • Experience in NGO, CSR, development, or social-impact organizations will be preferred.
  • Strong portfolio of social media, graphic design, content, and video work.
  • Strong command over LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
  • Excellent English writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Social Media & Content: Manage SDS's LinkedIn, YouTube, X, Instagram, and Facebook accounts; plan content calendar and publish regularly; write posts, captions, blogs, newsletters, and project stories; highlight projects, events, CSR initiatives, and impact; monitor engagement.
  • Graphic Design & Video: Create social media creatives, posters, banners, infographics, presentations; design YouTube thumbnails; create/edit reels, short videos, interviews; use Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Premiere Pro.
  • Digital Communication & Branding: Manage LinkedIn/YouTube presence; develop campaigns with captions/hashtags; ensure SDS branding across platforms; coordinate with teams for content.
  • Monitoring & Reporting: Track reach/engagement/followers/views; prepare basic reports; identify opportunities to improve visibility and engagement.

Position Overview

Samvedna Development Society is seeking a creative, proactive, and digitally skilled Communication & Social Media Manager to manage the organization's digital presence, social media platforms, content, graphic design, and communication activities.

The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end social media management, content creation, content writing, graphic designing, digital communication, video content, brand management, and social media analytics.

The role will involve independently managing and developing content for platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and other relevant digital channels.

The ideal candidate should have a strong command of social media platforms, excellent writing and communication skills, creative thinking, and the ability to convert project activities, achievements, events, and impact stories into engaging digital content.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Content
  • Manage SDS's LinkedIn, YouTube, X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook accounts.
  • Plan and maintain a content calendar and publish regular content.
  • Write engaging social media posts, captions, blogs, newsletters, website content, and project stories.
  • Create content highlighting SDS projects, events, achievements, CSR initiatives, and impact.
  • Monitor trends, engagement, comments, and overall social media performance.
Graphic Design & Video
  • Create social media creatives, posters, banners, infographics, presentations, and campaign materials.
  • Design YouTube thumbnails and other digital creatives.
  • Create and edit reels, short videos, interviews, and event/project videos.
  • Use tools such as Canva, Photoshop, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar software.
Digital Communication & Branding
  • Manage SDS's professional LinkedIn and YouTube presence.
  • Develop digital campaigns, captions, hashtags, and creative concepts.
  • Ensure consistent SDS branding and communication style across platforms.
  • Coordinate with Project, HR, Fundraising, and Management teams for content.
Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track reach, engagement, followers, views, and content performance.
  • Prepare basic social media reports and maintain records of published content.
  • Identify opportunities to improve digital visibility and engagement.
