Job description

  • Develop high-volume, high-quality content concepts for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging platforms.
  • Create Reels, short-form videos, carousels, static posts, stories, creator briefs, and other platform-native formats.
  • Build content around strong hooks, storytelling, product benefits, consumer problems, cultural moments, and trends.
  • Develop content specifically designed to drive measurable outcomes such as views, watch time, engagement, shares, saves, clicks, leads, and conversions.
  • Translate consumer and product insights into simple, compelling and highly shareable content.
  • Write scripts, hooks, captions, CTAs and creative briefs that are optimised for performance.
  • Partner with designers, editors, creators, influencers and agencies to bring concepts to life.
2. Think Like a Performance Marketer
  • Treat every piece of content as a testable creative asset, not just a communication piece.
  • Understand what drives performance across different stages of the consumer funnel — attention, consideration, action and conversion.
  • Analyse content performance and identify patterns in hooks, formats, topics, creators, storytelling styles, CTAs and visual treatments.
  • Use performance data to continuously improve content output.
  • Develop hypotheses around why content worked or did not work and turn those learnings into the next set of creative experiments.
  • Track metrics including reach, impressions, views, watch time, retention, engagement rate, shares, saves, CTR, traffic, conversions and revenue contribution, wherever applicable.
  • Work closely with Growth, Performance Marketing, E-commerce and CRM teams to understand how organic and paid content contributes to business outcomes.
3. Own the Content Experimentation Engine
  • Build and maintain a test-and-learn framework for social content.
  • Constantly experiment with different:
  • Hooks
  • Opening frames
  • Storytelling formats
  • Creator styles
  • CTAs
  • Visual treatments
  • Trends and cultural moments
  • Identify winning creative patterns and scale them across relevant brands and platforms.
  • Repurpose high-performing ideas into multiple formats and executions.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of new creative ideas while ensuring learnings from past performance are incorporated into future content.
4. Be Obsessed With Trends & Culture
  • Stay ahead of emerging social formats, memes, sounds, creators, conversations and cultural moments.
  • Identify trends that are relevant to the brand and translate them into brand-right, performance-oriented content.
  • Monitor competitor and category content to identify whitespace and new opportunities.
  • Understand why certain content formats are gaining traction rather than simply replicating what is trending.
  • Move quickly from trend identification to concept, production and publishing.
5. Drive Creator & Influencer-Led Content
  • Develop briefs for influencers and creators that give them the freedom to create native, authentic and performance-oriented content.
  • Identify creator formats and storytelling styles that can drive stronger content performance.
  • Collaborate with Influencer, Creative and Brand teams to develop creator-led content at scale.
  • Evaluate creator content based on performance and feed learnings back into future briefs.
6. Own the Content Calendar & Execution
  • Own the social media content calendar across relevant platforms.
  • Ensure a consistent pipeline of content across always-on, topical, product, campaign, creator and performance-led content.
  • Ensure timely execution while maintaining brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external agencies to deliver content at speed.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience in social media, content creation, digital marketing, brand marketing, performance marketing or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience creating content for consumer-facing brands, preferably in FMCG, beauty & personal care, D2C, e-commerce, startups or other fast-paced businesses.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram and YouTube, with knowledge of Facebook, LinkedIn and emerging platforms.
  • Strong understanding of short-form video and social-first content.
  • Excellent storytelling, copywriting, scripting and creative ideation skills.
  • Strong understanding of content hooks, retention, engagement and conversion mechanics.
  • Ability to look at content data and turn performance insights into actionable creative recommendations.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and metrics such as reach, views, watch time, retention, engagement, shares, saves, CTR and conversions.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite or similar content creation tools.
  • Strong visual sense and understanding of brand aesthetics and tone of voice.
  • Ability to work with creators, influencers, designers, editors, agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly proactive, experimental and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong bias towards execution, experimentation and learning.
The Mindset We Are Looking For

You should be someone who:

  • Asks “Will this perform?”, not just “Does this look good?”
  • Thinks in hooks, retention, shares, saves, clicks and conversions.
  • Is comfortable creating multiple versions of an idea to find the winning execution.
  • Uses data to improve creative decisions without losing creative instinct.
  • Can spot a trend today and turn it into relevant content tomorrow.
  • Understands that a great idea is only valuable if it can be executed quickly and effectively.
  • Is equally comfortable writing a script, analysing a dashboard, briefing a creator and reviewing an edit.
  • Thinks of content as a growth lever, not simply a brand asset.
Success in This Role

Success will be measured not only by the volume of content created, but by the quality and performance of the content produced.

Key success metrics may include:

  • Content views and reach
  • Watch time and retention
  • Engagement rate
  • Shares and saves
  • CTR and traffic
  • Content-driven conversions
  • Number of winning creative concepts identified and scaled
  • Improvement in content performance over time
  • Speed and volume of creative experimentation
  • Contribution to overall brand and business objectives
The goal: Create content that earns attention, learns from performance, and ultimately drives consumer action.
