Job summary

Cortex Consultants LLC is seeking an experienced SoC Design Verification Engineer with strong expertise in SystemVerilog and C programming, ideally with 5-15 years of experience in ARM-based SoC verification.

The candidate will develop and execute verification plans for SoC designs, build verification environments, and work with AMBA protocols. Proven debugging skills and functionality verification of interfaces are essential.

Overview

Job Title: SoC Design Verification (SoC DV) Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 5-15 Years

We are looking for an experienced SoC Design Verification Engineer with strong expertise in SystemVerilog/UVM and C programming for ARM-based SoC verification. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SoC/Subsystem-level verification, AMBA protocols, low-power verification, and debugging complex SoC issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute verification plans for SoC and Subsystem-level designs.
• Build and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM based verification environments.
• Perform functional verification of ARM-based SoCs using SV/UVM.
• Verify and debug SoC interfaces including Ethernet, UART, and USB.
• Work with AMBA protocols (AXI, AHB, APB) and ensure protocol compliance.
• Verify Application Processing Unit (APU) functionality within the SoC.
• Perform Low Power Verification using UPF/CPF methodologies.
• Debug complex SoC functional issues, analyze failures, and drive verification closure.
• Collaborate with Design, Architecture, Firmware, and Validation teams throughout the development cycle.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in SystemVerilog (SV), UVM, and C Programming.
• Solid experience in SoC/Subsystem-level Verification.
• Hands-on experience with AMBA Protocols (AXI, AHB, APB).
• Experience in ARM-based SoC Verification.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, UART, and USB verification.
• Strong debugging skills for complex SoC issues.
• Experience with UPF/CPF Power-Aware Verification.
• Good understanding of verification methodologies, functional coverage, assertions (SVA), and regression testing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ARM Application Processing Unit (APU).
• Exposure to scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Shell.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and communication skills.
