Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead Snowflake-based data platforms and scalable ELT pipelines. You will design DBT models, implement automated tests, and ensure secure, governed data delivery for analytics teams, with a focus on performance tuning and data quality.

The role requires strong collaboration with stakeholders and data architects to build reliable data assets across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers, leveraging cloud data platforms and orchestration

Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall IT experience with focus on Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, and Cloud Data Platforms.
• 7+ years hands-on Snowflake experience including architecture, performance optimization, security, and administration.
• 5+ years with DBT for building and orchestrating scalable ELT pipelines in Snowflake.
• Design and development of Snowflake objects: tables, views, materialized views, stored procedures, streams, tasks, and sequences.
• Expertise in DBT models, snapshots, seeds, macros, incremental loads, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong in Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and dimensional modeling.
• Automated data ingestion/transformation for CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet from AWS S3 and other sources.
• Performance tuning using Snowflake Query Profiler, clustering keys, caching, partitioning, sizing.
• ELT orchestration using DBT, Snowflake Tasks, Airflow, scheduling frameworks.
• AWS services integration with Snowflake (S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, EventBridge).
• Data governance: RBAC, masking, row-level security, resource monitors.
• CI/CD for DBT/Snowflake using Git/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions/Jenkins.
• Production support: troubleshoot performance, data quality issues, and enhancements.
• Collaboration with stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and BI teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Snowflake-based data platforms and ELT pipelines.

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience with Snowflake, including architecture design, performance optimization, security, and administration.
• 5+ Extensive experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for building, testing, documenting, and orchestrating scalable ELT pipelines in Snowflake.
• Design and development of Snowflake database objects, including tables, views, materialized views, stored procedures, streams, tasks, and sequences.
• Expertise in creating and maintaining DBT models, snapshots, seeds, macros, incremental loads, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong experience in implementing Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold Layers) and dimensional data models using fact and dimension tables.
• Development of automated data ingestion and transformation pipelines for large-scale CSV, JSON, XML, and Parquet datasets from AWS S3 and other enterprise sources.
• Performance tuning and optimization using Snowflake Query Profiler, clustering keys, caching mechanisms, partitioning strategies, and warehouse sizing.
• Experience with ELT pipeline orchestration using DBT, Snowflake Tasks, Airflow, and scheduling frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, and EventBridge integrated with Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of Data Governance, RBAC, Data Masking, Row‑Level Security, and Resource Monitors to ensure secure and compliant data access.
• Expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines for DBT and Snowflake deployments using Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Experience supporting production environments, troubleshooting performance bottlenecks, resolving data quality issues, and implementing enhancements.
• Collaboration with business stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and BI teams to deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
