Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai invites an experienced professional for a Snowflake+DBT role. You will work on ELT using Snowflake SQL, build data pipelines with DBT, and handle Snowflake utilities.

Candidates should have 5-12 years of experience and hands-on expertise with Snowflake, SnowSQL, DBT and Datastage, enabling end-to-end Snowflake implementations and data migrations from on-prem to cloud.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Snowflake ELT using Snowflake SQL and complex stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, DBT and Datastage.

Responsibilities

• Work with Snowflake advanced concepts like resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, Zero copy clone.
• Ability to provide resolution to extensive range of data pipeline problems using DBT.
• Build processes supporting data transformation, metadata, dependency and workload management.
• Drive end-to-end implementation of Snowflake cloud data warehouse and migrate on-premise DW to Snowflake with DBT.
• Expertise in deploying Snowflake features such as data sharing to enable data consumption from Cloud.
• Review architectural/technological solutions for ongoing projects and advise on migration strategies.

• 1. Expertise in Snowflake - ELT using Snowflake SQL, implementing complex stored Procedures and build data pipelines using DBT(Data Build Tool)
• 2. Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, SnowSQL, DBT and Datastage

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

• Work with Snowflake advanced concepts like setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, Zero copy clone and understand how to use these features
• Ability to provide resolution to an extensive range of complicated data pipeline related problems using DBT
• Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
• Ability to drive end to end implementation of Snowflake cloud data warehouse and migrate/transform on-premise DW on any ETL platform to Snowflake Cloud with DBT
• Expertise in deploying Snowflake features such as data sharing to enable data consumption from Cloud
• Review the architectural/ technological solutions for ongoing projects and work with required tech leads to adopt to the data migration strategies and share best practices
