Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants in Mumbai (Powai) seeks a Technical SME in Property & Asset Management with 10+ years of facility and engineering leadership to drive building systems performance, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction.

You will lead engineering operations, manage budgets and SLAs, oversee MEP, fire/life safety, and compliance, and mentor shift engineers while maintaining strong relationships with clients and service partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Facility Management.

Technical SME Property & Asset Management

Location: Mumbai (Powai)
Business Unit: Property and Asset Management
Experience Required: 10+ years in Facility/Engineering Management

Role Overview

Lead engineering operations and facility management teams to deliver excellence in building systems performance, risk mitigation, and client satisfaction. Drive technical innovation while ensuring compliance with policies, SLAs, and safety standards across managed properties.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Oversee all MEP systems, fire/life safety, and critical utilities across sites
• Conduct PPM reviews, risk/root-cause analysis, and implement corrective action plans
• Monitor critical equipment performance and enforce quality assurance standards
• Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives

Operations Management

• Manage engineering budgets, SLAs, KPIs, and vendor performance
• Ensure asset documentation, defect liability tracking, and AMC/CAMC compliance
• Review project proposals, participate in technical bidding, and maintain project documentation
• Implement inventory controls and optimize maintenance programs

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Hire, train, and develop shift engineers and maintenance teams
• Ensure staff licensing, certifications, and safety compliance ("No Safety No Work")
• Maintain client relationships through proactive communication and cost-effective solutions
• Manage vendor quotations, invoices, cost sheets, and payment follow-ups

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure accurate system data uploads and audit compliance
• Maintain service contracts, regulatory adherence, and safety procedures
• Administer "OVERVIEW" portal for reporting consistency
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and implement corrective controls

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Facility Management
• Experience: 8+ years in facility/engineering management
• Languages: Excellent command of English and Chinese (spoken & written)
• Skills: Strong leadership, client-centric approach, lateral thinking, and innovative problem-solving
• Technical: Deep knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, and FM best practices
