Job summary

Sopra Steria India is seeking a senior Big Data Engineer to design and develop scalable data processing pipelines using Skywise, Foundry, Python and PySpark for European customers. You will contribute to building robust, enterprise-grade solutions with emphasis on code quality and performance.

The role requires strong cloud-agnostic data engineering skills, experience with SQL databases, and collaboration in an agile team to deliver value to clients across Europe.

Qualifications

• 8+ years total software experience with 4+ years in Skywise/BigData development.
• Experience with Skywise dashboard components: Slate, Workshop, Object Explorer.
• Strong Python and PySpark with Pandas/Foundry knowledge.
• Server-side Python development with robust, reusable code.
• SQL and relational database expertise.
• Experience in agile teams (Scrum/Kanban/XP) encouraged.
• Deliver high-quality, enterprise-scale code.
• Customer-facing experience with European clients.

Must to Have Skills:-

• 1. Python, PySpark, Spark SQL
• 2. Experience with Skywise & Foundry (Slate, Workshop, Object Explorer.) & Java Script Detailed

JD:

• 1. Experience in working with Skywise dashboarding components like Slate, Workshop, Object explorer is a must. Development experience using Javascript or Typescript is a must.
• 2. Expertise in Python and PySpark – good grasp of Pandas/Foundry.
• 3. Background in designing and developing high-quality server-side processing in Python. An understanding of how to ensure these applications are robust, with easy to navigate code, and reusable components.
• 4. Experience in SQL and relational databases
• 5. Experience working in an agile team, practicing Scrum, Kanban or XP is appreciated
• 6. Expertise in delivering good quality code with enterprise scale development
• 7. Good problem solving and analytical skills
• 8. Customer facing skills. Worked with European customers
