Job summary

Sopra Steria in India is seeking an experienced Java/React Lead to drive development of enterprise-grade applications and mentor distributed teams. You will guide architecture, design, and delivery across agile squads while delivering robust, scalable software solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on skills in Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-enabled DevOps practices, with a focus on quality, performance, and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

• Computer Science foundation in a software engineering role & good knowledge of OOAD, scalability issues and multi-tiered solutions.
• Strong OOAD, design patterns, and multi-threaded programming knowledge.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Java/React developers.
• Develop, review, and maintain high-quality code based on business and technical requirements.
• Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards, quality, and security best practices.
• Drive Sprint/ PI planning, estimation, solution reviews and technical discussions.

• Lead and support a team of Java/React developers.

Must-have Skills

• Java: Java 8/11/17, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, Java
• Frontend: ReactJS, JavaScript, React Core Concepts.
• Testing: JUnit, Mockito, Karate, Cucumber, Jest, React Testing Library.
• Database: MongoDB/Oracle with strong PL/SQL skills.
• Tools: GitHub, Git Commands, IntelliJ IDEA, SonarQube, Checkmarx.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Design Patterns, and Multi-threaded Programming.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Strong knowledge of REST API development and microservices architecture.
• Proven experience in leading globally distributed teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Preferred:

Microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and DevOps exposure.

Qualifications
