Job summary

Sopra Steria is seeking an experienced DevOps/Cloud Infra Engineer to work with Global Operations and Core Practices teams. You will operate, industrialize, and strengthen infrastructure across data centers and multi-cloud environments, driving automation and resilience.

You will lead tasks independently, mentor junior members, and participate in 24x7 operational rotations. Strong Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS expertise are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in container orchestration and server automation with Kubernetes & Docker.
• Experience deploying scalable fault-tolerant systems on AWS.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform; CI/CD automation.
• Monitoring with Prometheus and ICINGA.

Responsibilities

• Operate and strengthen global infrastructure across Data Centers and cloud platforms.
• Lead tasks independently and mentor junior team members; support follow-the-sun model.
• Design and maintain DR and failover architectures; manage patching and upgrades.
• Handle incident management with runbooks and troubleshooting.

Job Description

Candidate should be able to work with Global operations & Core Practices teams to operate, industrialize & strengthen operational practices. Should have proven experience in handling large scale and growing infrastructure across Data Centers and heterogeneous Cloud platforms.

A Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills. Prior experience with DevOps practices & working in Global operations model (follow the sun), should be able to lead tasks independently & mentor junior team members.

MUST HAVE

• ·Strong experience in container orchestration and server automation tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, AWS EKS, Ansible & Terraform
• ·Experience in deploying and managing highly scalable fault resilient systems

1. Infrastructure as code (IAC) using Terraform.

4. Strong Knowledge and experience of AWS services: ( 8 + years of Exp )

GOOD TO HAVE

• Ticketing tools like Service Now, Jira
• ·ITIL certification, AWS Certification, Kubernetes Administrator
• ·Linux administration & commands knowledge.
• ·Networking - Virtual Network, DNS, IPs, Security Concepts (like ACLs, firewalls etc.)
• Familiar with various network protocols e.g., HTTP/FTP/SFTP/SMTP
• Knowledge of SSL, SSH, LDAP/firewalls, Certificates
• Total Experience Expected: 08-10 years

Requires 24*7 Rotational shift including night shift as per business needs. Requires availability outside business hours On-call / standby on weekday/weekend
