Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited seeks a Skywise Developer to join the Bangalore team. You will contribute to digital transformation by building data-driven solutions, focusing on Skywise Foundry, data engineering, visualization, and end-to-end application development.

The role requires 1–5 years of software development, strong Python/Pyspark/SQL/Typescript skills, and experience with cloud and CI/CD practices. Collaboration with product owners and Airbus functions is essential for delivering value.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate or Graduate in Information Technology or equivalent with 1-5 years of Software Development experience.
• Strong understanding of software development, design concepts and principles.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining applications at scale for end to end implementation.
• Advanced knowledge of programming languages and technical skills like Python, Pyspark, SQL, Typescript, HTML & CSS.
• Experience with developing complete stacks: backend in pyspark and front-end in Javascript/Typescript.
• Knowledge of Skywise fundamentals: Code repository, data lineage, pipeline builder, Access management, Slate, Workshop, Ontology Manager etc.
• Strong knowledge of REST and Big Data concepts.
• Experience with tools like Artifactory, GitHub, Jira/Confluence, etc.
• Knowledge of AWS cloud platform; test-driven development; SAFe/Agile Scrum/Kanban; Palantir Foundry; Generative AI prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design and build solutions for Airbus on Foundry involving data engineering and integration.
• Perform data analysis and visualization within Skywise Framework.
• Develop applications within Skywise framework and collaborate with product owners and Airbus business functions.
• Lead the full delivery lifecycle: design, implement, test, document, and support applications.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments across environments.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for developed tools.
• Collaborate across teams to understand processes and drive data-driven improvements.

One key component of this Digital Transformation is the implementation of solutions to enable the data-value chain in Airbus and its Division and to make the best use of Data in Airbus, whether to optimize our business processes or to create new business values via data monetization. The data-value chain encompasses solutions to create, capture, connect, ingest, transport, process, expose and visualize data, data coming from Airbus, Customers (Airlines), Aircrafts (in-flight data), Suppliers and other Third-party entities. • Knowledge with Palantir Foundry platform is a bonus: building and deploying solutions
• Hands on knowledge of Generative AI prompt engineering is a plus

Responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and building solutions for Airbus on foundry that involve:
• Data engineering & integration
• Data analysis & visualization
• Application development within Skywise Framework
• Working closely with Product Owners & core Airbus business functions to understand processes, capture requirements and work on solving business problems by leveraging the data generated throughout the business process.
• Involvement in the full delivery lifecycle – responsible for designing, implementing, testing, documenting, supporting the applications
• Developing, updating and use CI/CD pipeline to allow fully automated deployments of applications across all environments from Development, Q&A and Production
• Troubleshooting application issues and handling incidents / requests on the same.
• Responsible for providing support on the developed tools
