Job summary

Sopra Steria in Noida, India, is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer to deliver enterprise-scale data transformation and analytics on modern cloud platforms.

Key focus areas include Snowflake design, development and administration, DBT-based transformations, SQL optimization, and ELT/ETL pipelines. Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, GitLab CI/CD, DataOps, and Agile delivery is required, with 6–8 years of relevant experience.

• Strong SQL development, data modeling, and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with DBT, data quality controls, and monitoring.
• Azure Data Factory, ADLS, and cloud data platform exposure.
• GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, DataOps, and deployment automation.
• Agile delivery, code reviews, performance tuning, and production support.

Experience Requirements :

• Relevant experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Cloud Data Platform projects with hands‑on expertise in Snowflake‑based production data warehouses.
• Proven ability to deliver enterprise‑scale data transformation and analytics solutions using modern cloud platforms, with strong experience in ELT/ETL development, data modeling, and dimensional modeling.
• Advanced expertise in Snowflake design, development, administration, performance optimization, and DBT for data transformation, modeling, testing, and deployment.
• Expert‑level SQL development and query optimization skills with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Snowflake with Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), along with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, DataOps, and deployment automation.
• Strong experience in Agile delivery, code reviews, performance tuning, production support, and implementing data quality controls, testing frameworks, and monitoring solutions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams, actively contributing to knowledge transfer and successful project delivery.

Total Experience Expected: 06-08 years
Location: Noida Only

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Snowflake Certification and exposure to cloud‑based data platforms are highly desirable.
