Job summary

Signify is hiring a Site Support Engineer to provide hands-on IT support at the office site in India. You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity, assist with onboarding, and support meeting rooms and AV equipment.

The role requires experience in onsite or service desk support, with strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365, plus good hardware and network basics. You will maintain asset records and assist with IT projects, ensuring security policies are followed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in onsite IT support, desktop support, field support, or service desk support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS; macOS experience is a plus.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint.
  • Good understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, printers, mobile devices, and basic networking.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and connectivity issues.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, Zendesk, or similar.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple support requests.
  • Good documentation and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide face-to-face technical support for employees at the office or client site.
  • Troubleshoot laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, docking stations, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and replace IT hardware and software.
  • Support Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, VPN, email, collaboration tools, and business applications.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, LAN, VPN, and basic switching problems.
  • Assist with user onboarding, offboarding, device setup, account access, and equipment handover.
  • Support meeting rooms, video conferencing systems, projectors, Teams/Zoom rooms, and AV equipment.
  • Escalate complex issues to infrastructure, network, security, or application teams when required.
  • Maintain accurate ticket updates, asset records, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles.
  • Manage local IT inventory, including laptops, accessories, spare equipment, and consumables.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, warranty claims, and service visits.
  • Support IT projects such as office moves, device refreshes, software rollouts, and network upgrades.
  • Follow IT security policies, access control procedures, and data protection standards.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users.

Job Summary

The Site support engineer provides hands-on technical support to users, systems, and IT infrastructure at a company location. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware, software, network, printer, meeting room, and end-user technology issues. The Onsite Support Engineer acts as the local IT contact for employees and works closely with remote service desk, infrastructure, security, and vendor teams.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Experience maintaining asset records in ITSM, CMDB.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
