Job summary

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) in India seeks a senior procurement leader to own P2P operations, category management, and supplier engagement at our Gujarat site. You will lead crossfunctional teams, drive digital procurement tools, ensure compliance, and publish governance metrics while partnering with Project, Finance, Engineering, IT, Operations, Planning and Corporate Procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• 10-15+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or P2P functions.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and procurement platforms (Ariba preferred).
• Proven leadership in crossfunctional environments and largescale operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete P2P cycle: PR creation, approvals, PO issuance, GRN, invoice processing, and payments.
• Ensure adherence to timelines to avoid project delays, material shortages, and payment escalations.
• Monitor operational performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvements.
• Oversee procurement and P2P activities for construction, capex, indirect procurement, IT hardware/software/services, equipment/tools, and materials.
• Ensure categoryspecific compliance, documentation, and contract adherence.
• Lead the site P2P team, develop capability, manage performance, and foster crossfunctional collaboration.
• Own ERP/Ariba/SAP and P2P tool adoption; ensure audit readiness and DoA compliance.
• Drive supplier engagement, resolve queries, improve vendor performance, and train suppliers on P2P platforms.
• Publish periodic P2P health reports and support budgeting/forecasting with procurement visibility.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, drive automation, and establish SOPs.

Company and Business :

Tata Electronics Private Limited (TEPL) is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.

Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building Indias first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

P2P Operations Management

• Lead and manage the complete P2P cyclePR creation, approvals, PO issuance, GRN, invoice processing, and payments.
• Ensure adherence to timelines to avoid project delays, material shortages, and payment escalations.
• Monitor operational performance through KPIs and drive continuous improvements.

2. Category Management

• Oversee procurement and P2P activities for:
• Construction & Project Capex
• Indirect procurement including IT hardware, software, and services
• Equipment, tools, and machinery
• Raw materials, consumables, spares
• Ensure categoryspecific compliance, documentation, and contract adherence.

3. People & Stakeholder Leadership

• Lead the site P2P team, ensuring capability building, performance management, and strong crossfunctional collaboration.
• Partner closely with Project, Finance, Engineering, IT, Operations, Planning, and Corporate Procurement teams.
• Manage supplier interactions related to P2P, invoicing, and payments.

4. Systems, Controls & Compliance

• Own the effective use of ERP/Ariba/SAP and P2P tools at the site.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements, internal controls, and DoA guidelines.
• Oversee accurate documentation for all procurement and payment processes.
• Drive adoption of digital procurement tools and standardized processes.

5. Supplier Engagement & Issue Resolution

• Ensure timely resolution of supplier queries related to POs, invoices, and payments.
• Drive vendor performance improvement and ensure timely closure of open GRNs and unmatched invoices.
• Support onboarding and training of suppliers on P2P processes and platforms.

6. Governance, Reporting & Analytics

• Publish periodic P2P health reports- aging, GRN pendency, overdue payments, PO cycle time, compliance metrics.
• Support budgeting and forecasting by providing visibility into procurement and payment pipelines.
• Conduct regular governance reviews with site leadership and central procurement.

7. Continuous Improvement & Transformation

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reduce cycle times.
• Lead automation, digitization, and simplification initiatives.
• Enable standard operating procedures (SOPs), best practices, and training for crossfunctional teams.

Qualifications and Experience :

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
2. 10-15+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or P2P functions.
3. Strong exposure to construction, capex, indirect, IT, and equipment/materials procurement.
4. Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and procurement platforms (Ariba preferred).
