Job Overview
- We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Civil Engineering Fresher to join our team as a Site Engineer (RCC & PT).
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting in regular site visits and inspections of RCC and Post-Tensioned (PT) structural works under the guidance of senior engineers.
- This role provides an opportunity to gain practical exposure to structural construction, site execution, RCC reinforcement, formwork, concreting, PT works, drawing coordination and quality inspection.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit project sites regularly for RCC and PT work inspections along with senior engineers.
- Assist in checking construction activities as per approved structural drawings.
- Understand and verify column, beam, slab, wall and footing reinforcement at site.
- Assist in checking reinforcement, cover, shuttering/formwork, dimensions and levels before concreting.
- Observe and assist in monitoring RCC concreting activities.
- Assist in checking concrete grade, slump, cube sampling and other basic quality-control requirements.
- Gain practical knowledge of PT slabs and PT beams, including tendon layout, anchorage locations and stressing arrangements.
- Assist senior engineers during PT tendon installation, stressing and grouting inspections.
- Compare actual site execution with approved RCC and PT structural drawings and identify deviations.
- Record site observations and prepare site inspection reports and checklists.
- Take and maintain proper site photographs and inspection records.
- Coordinate with contractors and supervisors regarding structural observations.
- Assist in raising and following up on site queries/Request for information (RFIs) with the structural design team.
- Learn to identify common construction and structural execution issues under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Attend site meetings and coordinate with the structural, architectural and MEP teams when required.
- Follow up on recti ication of site observations and report the status to senior engineers.
- Maintain proper documentation of site visits and inspection activities.
Required Qualification
- Diploma / B.E. / B. Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply.
- Willingness to travel to project sites for regular inspections.
- Having Good communication and coordination skills.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
