Job summary

Adecco India is looking for a Site Engineer- Mechanical to oversee the erection, alignment, and installation of boilers, turbines, and associated equipment at sites in Andhra Pradesh.

The role requires 4–8 years of power plant construction experience, strong reading of drawings, adherence to HSE, and effective teamwork. You will coordinate with vendors and monitor progress to meet deadlines.

BE/BTech in Mechanical is required; MS Projects knowledge is a plus for planning and reporting duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise erection, alignment, and assembly of mechanical components at site.

Education - BE / B Tech - Mechanical

Experience - 4-8 years in power plant construction, specifically with boilers, turbines, Air cooled condenser, ESP, Bag filter, etc.

Duration - 1 Year and extendable

Role Description

Site Engineer- Mechanical Erection Engineer responsible for site installation, alignment of heavy machinery (boilers, turbines, generators) and auxiliary systems. He ensures technical compliance,

structural integrity, and adhere to safety standards (HSE) during the construction phase to meet project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Site Supervision: Monitoring the erection, alignment, and assembly of mechanical components (e.g., Boiler Pressure parts, silos, turbine assembly, ducting, structural steel, air cooled condenser etc).
• Planning and Execution: Reviewing and implementing erection schedules,drawings, and methodologies.
• Quality and Safety (HSE): Ensuring all work meets safety standards and project specifications, including welding quality.
• Material and Resource Management: Coordinating with vendors for equipment arrival and managing site resources (manpower, lifting equipment,consumables).
• Documentation: Preparing progress reports and conducting testing (e.g., hydro testing).

Skills:

Proficiency in reading engineering drawings (P&IDs, structural), strong

knowledge of HSE compliance, and team leadership skills.

Knowledge of MS Projects will be preferred /additional advantage
