Job summary

Alfa Technology & Service invites a skilled Site Engineer to oversee boiler erection, mechanical installation, piping execution, and site supervision at power project sites in Maharashtra. You will coordinate with design, QA/QC, safety, and subcontractors, and ensure drawings and specifications are followed.

Must read drawings, layouts, and isometrics; manage daily progress, measurements, and handover activities; travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in boiler erection, power plant construction, piping installation, or mechanical site execution.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, piping isometrics, layouts and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of boiler components, piping systems, welding, alignment, hydro testing, commissioning.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, site documentation, and progress reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise boiler, pressure-part, piping, structural, and mechanical equipment erection.
• Interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings, layouts, and piping isometrics.
• Coordinate with design, fabrication, QA/QC, safety, client, and subcontractor teams.
• Monitor fit-up, alignment, welding, supports, hydro testing, NDT, flushing, and commissioning.
• Verify site measurements, equipment locations, pipe routing, elevations, and clearances.
• Prepare daily progress reports, manpower statements, inspection requests, and site records.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, lifting equipment, and execution activities.
• Identify site issues and coordinate corrective actions with the concerned teams.
• Ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, safety procedures, IBR requirements, and project schedules.
• Support client inspections, IBR inspections, commissioning, punch-point clearance, and final handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Knowledge of boiler components, piping systems, welding, alignment, hydro testing, and commissioning.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, MS Excel, site documentation, and progress reporting.
• Good communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel and work at project sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial boilers, sugar plants, captive power plants, thermal power plants, or steam pipeline projects.
• Knowledge of ASME, IS codes, IBR, NDT, hydrostatic testing, and power plant standards.
• Experience coordinating with clients, consultants, IBR inspectors, and subcontractors.
