Responsibilities

• Monitor erection, fabrication, and routing of process and utility pipes per isometrics and P&IDs.
• Conduct site inspections for welds, materials, supports, and bolt torques; oversee hydrostatic/pneumatic testing; resolve non-conformities.
• Track piping materials (pipes, valves, fittings, flanges) on delivery; ensure storage and traceability; coordinate with procurement to avoid delays.
• Review 3D models and layout drawings; manage design changes; prepare as-built redline drawings.
• Enforce HSE protocols on-site during heavy lifts, welding, and pressure testing.
• Prepare for site inspections and documentation for inspection reports and protocols.

Role Detail

A Site Piping Engineer manages the fabrication, installation, and testing of piping systems on a construction project. He must ensure piping systems are built safely and accurately according to engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Monitor the physical erection, fabrication, and routing of process and utility pipes, ensuring strict compliance with engineering isometrics and P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation
• Conduct site inspections to verify welds, material grades, supports, and bolt torques. Oversee pressure testing (hydrostatic or pneumatic) and resolve non-conformities.
• Track piping materials (pipes, valves, fittings, flanges) upon delivery, ensuring proper storage, traceability, and coordination with procurement to avoid site delays.
• Review 3D models and layout drawings. Manage design modifications and prepare "as-built" redline drawings to document all field
• Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on-site, particularly during heavy lifts, hot work (welding), and pressure testing.
• Prepare for site Inspection and documentation for inspection reports and protocols.

Technical Skills:

Ability to read isometric drawings, P&IDs, and General Arrangement (GA) drawings. Knowledge of piping codes (e.g., ASME B31.3, B31.1)
