Job summary

Sree Craft is seeking a Site Engineer for interior fit-out works in Bengaluru. The role involves executing day-to-day site activities per drawings, BOQ, and schedule, coordinating with architectural, interior, furniture and MEP drawings, and supervising civil works including ceilings, partitions, flooring, painting, carpentry, and glass installations.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day interior fit-out works at site as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications and project schedule.
• Read and understand architectural, interior, furniture and MEP drawings and coordinate execution accordingly.
• Supervise civil works, gypsum/false ceiling, partitions, flooring, painting, carpentry/joinery, glass works and other interior finishing activities.
• Coordinate with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, fire alarm, data/IT and other MEP teams to avoid clashes and rework.
• Allocate and monitor daily work of subcontractors, supervisors and labour teams.
• Conduct daily site measurements and verify quantities executed by subcontractors.
• Prepare daily progress reports (DPR) including manpower, work completed, materials received and site issues.
• Check quality of workmanship and ensure work complies with approved drawings, specifications and required finishing standards.
• Identify drawing discrepancies/site constraints and immediately upscale them to the Project Manager/Design team.
• Coordinate material requirements with the Purchase/Procurement team and ensure materials are available before scheduled activities.
• Check incoming materials for correct quantity, specification and quality.
• Monitor material consumption and minimize wastage, damage and rework.
• Coordinate with client, PMC, consultants and other contractors at site as instructed by the Project Manager.
• Attend site coordination meetings and follow up on assigned action points.
• Ensure subcontractors complete work according to the agreed project schedule and milestones.
• Coordinate with the Safety Supervisor and ensure workers follow site EHS and safety requirements.
• Prepare snag lists, coordinate snag rectification and ensure timely closure.
• Maintain site records including drawings, measurements, material records, inspection requests and progress photographs.
• Assist the QS/Billing team with site measurements and subcontractor bill verification.
• Take responsibility for assigned areas/work packages from execution through snag-free handover.
• The Site Engineer should not only “supervise” labour. They should be accountable for Quality + Progress + Coordination + Material Control + Documentation for their assigned area
