Job summary

Interiocraft is seeking a hands-on Site Engineer with experience in interior fit-out execution. The candidate will supervise day-to-day site activities, coordinate with subcontractors and in-house teams, and ensure milestones are met on time and to specification.

You will read 2D AutoCAD drawings, plan schedules with the Project Manager, manage materials, conduct quality checks, and liaise with clients, PMC, and consultants for approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on site execution experience in interior fit-out (retail, residential, or commercial).
• Ability to read and interpret 2D AutoCAD drawings and shop drawings independently.
• Knowledge of interior finishes and execution practices (carpentry, MS fabrication, laminates, veneers, glass, false ceiling, flooring, painting, basic MEP).
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Project for scheduling and reporting.
• Familiar with WhatsApp-based site reporting and project management tools.
• Strong supervisory and coordination skills; travel willingness.
• Fluency in Hindi and English; Kannada or Tamil an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day interior fit-out works at site including carpentry, MS fabrication, false ceiling, flooring, painting, MEP, and finishing.
• Read and interpret architectural, MEP, and shop drawings; ensure execution matches drawings.
• Plan and schedule daily and weekly site activities with Project Manager.
• Coordinate with in-house carpentry/fabrication factory for timely dispatch and installation of elements.
• Supervise subcontractors and daily-wage workforce; ensure productivity, discipline, and quality.
• Conduct quality checks at every stage and reject substandard work.
• Maintain daily progress reports, site photos, material inward/consumption, and manpower logs.
• Coordinate with QS/billing for site measurements and validate work before client billing.
• Manage material at site — raise indents, verify GRNs, control wastage, and ensure safe storage.
• Liaise with the client, PMC, architect, and consultants at site for approvals, inspections, and issue resolution.
• Prepare and close snag lists for smooth handover.
• Enforce EHS (safety) protocols on site at all times.
• Travel to project sites outside Bengaluru as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day execution of interior fit‑out works at site civil, carpentry, MS fabrication, false ceiling, flooring, painting, MEP, and finishing
• Read and interpret architectural, MEP, and shop drawings (2D AutoCAD) and ensure execution matches drawings and specifications
• Plan and schedule daily and weekly site activities in coordination with the Project Manager
• Coordinate with in‑house carpentry/fabrication factory for timely dispatch and installation of custom‑manufactured elements
• Supervise subcontractors and daily-wage workforce; ensure productivity, discipline, and quality standards on site
• Conduct quality checks at every stage — material inspection, workmanship, alignment, finish — and reject substandard work
• Maintain daily progress reports (DPR), site photos, material inward/consumption registers, and manpower logs
• Coordinate with the QS/billing team for site measurements and validate work completion before client billing
• Manage material at site — raise indents, verify GRNs, control wastage, and ensure safe storage
• Liaise with the client, client's PMC, architect, and consultants at site for approvals, inspections, and issue resolution
• Prepare and close snag lists for smooth handover

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• 2–5 years of hands‑on site execution experience in the interior fit‑out industry (retail, residential, or commercial)
• Ability to read and interpret 2D AutoCAD drawings and shop drawings independently
• Strong working knowledge of interior materials, finishes, and standard execution practices — carpentry, MS fabrication, laminates, veneers, glass, stone, false ceiling, flooring systems, painting, and basic MEP
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project (or similar) for scheduling and daily reporting
• Familiarity with WhatsApp-based site reporting and project management tools
• Strong supervisory and coordination skills — able to manage subcontractors and workforce
• Detail‑oriented with high standards for quality and finish
• Willingness to travel and stay at project sites outside Bengaluru
• Fluency in Hindi and English; Kannada or Tamil an advantage for regional sites
