Job summary

Golden Homes is seeking a Site Engineer to supervise construction activities at the Chennai site, ensuring quality execution as per drawings and project specs. You will coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects and workers to keep the project on track.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of site experience, a Civil Engineering degree, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to manage day-to-day site work and safety

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of site experience in construction supervision.
• Ability to read architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
• Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the site.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings and project specs.

• Monitor quality of RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, painting and finishing works.
• Check reinforcements, shuttering, levels and dimensions.

• Maintain daily site and progress reports and project documentation.
• Ensure activities meet quality and safety standards.
• Track project progress and advise on schedule adherence.
• Report defects or deviations and coordinate corrective actions.

Job Description

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Site Engineer to supervise construction activities, ensure quality execution, coordinate with contractors and workers, and make sure work is completed according to approved drawings and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor day-to-day construction activities at the site
• Ensure work is carried out as per approved architectural and structural drawings
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and workers
• Monitor the quality of RCC, masonry, plastering, flooring, painting, and finishing works
• Check reinforcement, shuttering, levels, dimensions, and other construction activities
• Prepare and verify site measurements, quantity calculations, and material requirements
• Monitor material usage and minimize wastage
• Identify site issues and coordinate with the concerned teams for timely resolution
• Maintain daily site reports, progress reports, measurements, and other project documentation
• Ensure construction activities follow required quality and safety standards
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed within the planned schedule
• Conduct regular inspections and report defects or deviations
• Coordinate with management and provide regular updates on project progress

Required Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 2–5 years of relevant site experience
• Candidates with strong practical site experience will be considered
• Ability to read and understand architectural and structural drawings
• Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality standards
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage contractors and site workers effectively

Preferred Skills

• Experience in residential / commercial construction projects
• Knowledge of RCC, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, flooring, and finishing works
• Experience in quantity estimation and BOQ/measurement verification
• Ability to identify and resolve on-site technical issues
• Knowledge of construction safety practices
