About the Role
We are looking for a Site Engineer to manage day-to-day execution of landscape, civil, hardscape and related site works.
The Site Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that work is executed as per drawings, BOQ, specifications, quality standards and project timelines, while coordinating labour, contractors, vendors and materials.
The ideal candidate should be hands-on, responsible, technically sound and capable of independently managing site activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Execution
- Supervise day-to-day construction and landscape activities.
- Execute work as per approved drawings, BOQ and specifications.
- Coordinate civil, landscape, plumbing, electrical, waterproofing, paving and other site activities.
- Ensure proper sequence of work and avoid unnecessary rework.
- Check dimensions, levels, slopes, alignment and workmanship.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and labour teams.
2. Quality Control
- Ensure materials and workmanship meet approved specifications.
- Inspect incoming materials before use.
- Maintain quality checklists for major activities.
- Identify defective or incorrect work and ensure rectification.
- Conduct regular site inspections and maintain snag lists.
- Ensure proper protection of completed work.
3. Material Management
- Prepare daily/weekly material requirements.
- Coordinate with procurement/vendors for timely delivery.
- Check quantity and quality of materials received at site.
- Maintain material inward/outward records.
- Monitor material consumption against BOQ.
- Minimize wastage, damage and theft.
4. Labour & Contractor Management
- Coordinate daily labour deployment.
- Allocate work to teams according to the project schedule.
- Monitor labour productivity.
- Coordinate subcontractors and specialized agencies.
- Maintain daily labour attendance and manpower records.
- Report labour shortages or performance issues immediately.
5. Measurements & Billing
- Take site measurements for completed work.
- Maintain measurement sheets against the BOQ.
- Verify subcontractor bills and quantities.
- Prepare work completion records.
- Assist in client billing and RA bill preparation.
- Track executed quantities versus BOQ quantities.
6. Site Documentation & Reporting
The Site Engineer must maintain proper project records, including:
- Daily Progress Report
- Daily Labour Report
- Material Inward Register
- Material Consumption Record
- Site Measurement Sheets
- Work Completion Reports
- Site Photographs
- Quality Checklists
- Snag Lists
- Contractor/ Vendor records
- Drawing & Revision Register
A daily site report with photographs and progress updates must be submitted to the Project Manager/Management.
7. Drawing & Coordination
- Read and understand architectural, landscape and civil drawings.
- Coordinate with designers/architects when site conditions differ from drawings.
- Identify discrepancies before execution.
- Ensure only the latest approved drawings are used at site.
- Raise RFIs/technical queries wherever required.
- Coordinate with consultants and project management team.
8. Project Schedule
- Monitor daily progress against the project schedule.
- Identify activities falling behind schedule.
- Plan upcoming work and material requirements.
- Coordinate manpower and resources to achieve deadlines.
- Immediately elevate delays, site constraints or critical issues.
Candidate Requirements
Education
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering preferred.
- Candidates with relevant landscape construction experience may also be considered.
Experience
03-08 years of relevant site experience preferred.
Experience in any of the following will be an advantage:
- Landscape projects
- Residential / villa projects
- Premium residential projects

- Interior/civil fit-out
Skills Required
The candidate should have:
- Good knowledge of construction practices
- Ability to read drawings
- Basic quantity estimation and measurement skills
- Knowledge of BOQ and rate analysis
- Good knowledge of construction materials
- Labour management skills
- Vendor/subcontractor coordination
- Basic MS Excel knowledge
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge preferred
- Good communication skills
- Strong site discipline
- Ability to work independently
