JobTrade is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee civil construction and interior fit-out activities across project sites in India. You will ensure work aligns with approved designs, specifications, and schedules while managing site labor and subcontractors.

The role requires reading drawings, BOQs, and technical documents, applying suitable construction methods, and coordinating with clients and internal teams to keep projects on track. Safety and quality are essential.

Site Operations & Supervision

• Oversee day-to-day civil construction and interior fit-out activities at project sites.
• Ensure all site activities are executed according to approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Supervise site labor, subcontractors, and other project resources.
• Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

Technical Execution

• Read and interpret construction drawings, BOQs, technical specifications, and project documents.
• Ensure civil and interior works are executed according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Apply appropriate construction methods, materials, and execution techniques.
• Identify technical issues at the site and implement appropriate solutions.
• Resolve on-site engineering and execution challenges proactively.

Contractor & Team Coordination

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, clients, and internal project teams.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is completed according to project requirements.
• Coordinate material availability and resource allocation.
• Maintain clear communication with all project stakeholders.

Quality Control

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and project progress.
• Ensure materials comply with approved specifications and quality requirements.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project standards.
• Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
• Ensure all completed work meets the required quality standards.

Project Planning & Monitoring

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project activities against planned timelines.
• Track site progress and identify potential delays.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely execution and delivery.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare daily site reports and project progress updates.
• Maintain proper records of site activities and work progress.
• Maintain construction-related documentation, drawings, BOQs, and technical records.
• Report site issues, progress, and requirements to the concerned management team.

Safety Management

• Ensure strict compliance with site safety protocols and regulations.
• Monitor safe working practices among laborers and subcontractors.
• Identify potential safety risks and coordinate appropriate corrective measures.
• Ensure site activities are carried out according to applicable safety standards.

Education

Required Qualifications:

• Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering.

Experience

• Years of hands-on experience in civil construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Experience in corporate interiors or commercial office fit-out projects will be preferred.
