Job summary

Cyient Limited in Pune is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years' experience in cost and data analysis. You will analyze part costs for industrial equipment, track backlog and bookings, perform pricing deviations, and build dynamic pricing models in Google Sheets.

You will design and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio and ensure accurate pricing data and reporting. Experience with BOMs, PLM/PDM systems, and 3D CAD tools like Catia/ Creo/ SolidWorks is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in cost analysis and data analysis.
• Experience in costing of parts for industrial equipment.
• Maintain and track Order Backlog, Order Bookings, Take Rates, Sales.
• Perform deviation analysis on pricing, cost and margins.
• Familiar with configurable BOMs and product structures.
• Build dynamic pricing models in Google Sheets (advanced).
• Design and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio and Google Data Studio.
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting and pricing data quality.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, design new products and processes and improve existing ones.
• Conduct design analysis to ensure cost efficiency, manufacturability and reliability.
• Coordinate with engineering to assure project completion.
• Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders.
• Support BOMs, PLM and sales order processes as needed.

Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in cost analysis, data analysis

• Should have good knowledge about costing of parts in industrial equipment
• Good understanding along with maintain and track Order Backlog, Order Bookings, Take Rates, Sales
• Order Management data, Gross Margin (GM), Discount Types, Pricing Deviations & Variance Analysis
• Perform deviation analysis on pricing, cost, and margins
• Working knowledge about various options, configurable BOMs, and product structures
• Build dynamic pricing models in Google Sheets (advanced level)
• Design and maintain dashboards in Google Data Studio (Looker Studio)
• Conduct cost and margin analysis using BOMs and order data
• Ensure timely, accurate reporting and maintain clean pricing data
• Demonstrate strong ownership, prompt execution, and clear communication
• Excellent knowledge of Google Office tools along with Looker Studio
• Knowledge about PDM, PLM, Sales Order Management system will be added advantage
• Experience in design, any 3D software like Catia, Creo, SolidWorks etc. will be added advantage
• Must be self-motivated, proactive in exploration, and exhibit complete ownership of assignments.
