Qualifications

• 6+ years of web development experience, with 4+ years on Shopify Plus.
• Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to mentor junior developers and lead code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and implement complex, responsive Shopify-based and custom themes.
• Custom Application Development: Build and maintain custom Shopify apps using Node.js, React, Rails or PHP.
• Third-Party Integrations: Architect and build robust integrations with OMS, WMS, PIM, etc.
• Performance & SEO Optimization: Improve site speed and core web vitals; optimize SEO with marketing teams.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and conduct code reviews for quality standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with UX/UI, product managers, and digital marketers to deliver solutions.
• Problem Solving: Debug and resolve complex issues across front-end, back-end, and APIs.

Role Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Shopify Plus Developer with a minimum of 6 years of hands‑on experience to take ownership of our flagship storefront. You will be responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing high-performance, scalable, and custom solutions on the Shopify platform. The ideal candidate is a strategic problem‑solver who can translate complex business requirements into technical reality and mentor other developers on the team.

Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development: Design, develop, and implement complex, responsive, and user‑friendly Shopify based & custom themes from scratch, adhering to best practices.
• Custom Application Development: Build and maintain custom Shopify apps using modern technologies (Node.js, React, Ruby on Rails, PHP) to extend store functionality beyond out‑of‑the‑box features.
• Third‑Party Integrations: Architect and build seamless, robust integrations with critical third‑party systems (like OMS, WMS, PIM etc).
• Performance & SEO Optimization: Coordinate with Digital marketing team for ongoing audits and implement enhancements to dramatically improve site speed, core web vitals, and search engine optimization (SEO).
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developer. Conduct code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams including UX/UI designers, product managers, and digital marketers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Problem Solving: Debug and resolve complex technical issues across the entire stack (front‑end, back‑end, APIs).

People Management

The incumbent holds no direct supervisory responsibilities but is expected to engage effectively within their function and collaboratively across cross‑functional teams. This role contributes meaningfully, whether through operational contributions and/or by offering specialized expertise, guidance, and support, to ensure alignment with either functional and/or strategic organizational goals and objectives.
