Job summary

Apollo Tyres Manufacturing in Tirupati seeks a MES Application & IT Infra Support Engineer to ensure maximum availability of MES applications and related IT infra across the plant, from raw material handling to final finish product handling. The role requires coordinating with L2 for unresolved issues and providing rapid troubleshooting.

The candidate will analyze database queries and logs, validate machine interfaces, and assist with SCADA/PLC related concerns, while understanding OS,

Qualifications

• Experience ensuring MES availability and IT infra uptime.
• Understanding of networks, VLANs, and basic hardware.
• Familiarity with RFID and barcode scanning technologies.
• Knowledge of Java and SQL/MySQL in IT/ER environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure MES availability above 99.9%.
• Attend breakdown calls and provide on‑spot solutions.
• Escalate issues to L2 support when needed.
• Analyze database queries and application logs.
• Validate machine interfaces and configurations; assist SCADA/PLC as required.

Main Purpose of Job

To ensure maximum availability of MES Application and Related IT Infra Devices, which are essential for the manufacturing processes, covers from Row Material Handling to Final Finish Product Handling. Ensure all safety requirements are complied.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensuring MES (Manufacturing Execution System) Availability above 99.9%.
• Attending breakdown calls and providing on spot solutions.
• Escalate the issue to next level (L2 Support) team, if not able handle.
• Database Query Execution & Application logs analysis.
• Machine and MES Interface Validation and Configuration, if needed.
• Supporting electrical team by explaining machine interface if the issue is related with SCADA / PLC.
• Report if any Bug is being observed in IT based applications during routine operation and analysis.

Skills & Knowledge Requirement

Conceptual Knowledge of Operating System, Virtual Machines, Application / Web-based applications and Databases. Basic Knowledge on computer hardware names Basic Knowledge on (OS) Operating System Basic Knowledge on IT VLAN, wi-fi / Bluetooth Network.
