Job summary

Tata AutoComp in Nashik is seeking an MES specialist to configure, deploy, and maintain MES applications for automotive manufacturing processes at our Nashik site.

You will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and IT teams, integrate MES with ERP/SCADA/PLC, monitor KPIs, and drive process improvement and training.

The role emphasizes compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001, plus creating documentation and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Configure, deploy, and maintain MES applications for automotive manufacturing processes.
• Support MES modules related to production execution, quality management, traceability, genealogy, and performance monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MES-related issues to minimize production downtime.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and IT teams to ensure smooth MES operations.
• Integrate MES with ERP, PLC, SCADA, WMS, and other manufacturing systems.
• Develop and maintain interfaces between shop-floor equipment and MES applications.
• Support data collection, machine connectivity, and real-time production reporting.
• Analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for digitalization and automation.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives using MES data and analytics.
• Monitor KPIs such as OEE, downtime, scrap rate, cycle time, and production efficiency.
• Ensure complete product traceability and genealogy across manufacturing operations.
• Support compliance with automotive standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Maintain audit-ready records and documentation within MES systems.
• Participate in MES implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
• Coordinate with vendors, system integrators, and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and user training materials.
• Train production and quality teams on MES functionalities.
• Provide technical support and user guidance during production operations.
• Conduct root cause analysis for recurring system issues.
