Job summary

Manpower Malta is seeking a Shift Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing) to oversee production and maintenance on their shift, ensuring targets are met with emphasis on safety and quality. You will lead both operative and technical teams, drive performance, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires hands-on maintenance leadership, a strong background in GMP/HACCP compliance, and the ability to analyze processes for efficiency gains.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance and/or production teams in manufacturing.
• Degree at MQF Level 6 with 5+ years or Diploma MQF Level 5 with 9+ years in manufacturing.
• Hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

Job description

Manpower Malta is seeking a Shift Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)who is responsible for overseeing production and maintenance activities during their shift, ensuring targets are met efficiently and in line with safety and quality standards. The role involves leading operative and technical teams, driving performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• .Execute the daily production plan and achieve KPIs.
• Lead, support, and develop shift personnel.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, safety, and quality standards
• Analyse data to drive improvements in efficiency, quality, and waste reduction
• Monitor production performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct effective shift handovers and performance reporting

Requirements

• Experience managing maintenance teams or supervising production and technical team within a manufacturing environment (food, pharma, or chemical would be an asset)
• Degree (MQF Level 6) with 5+ years or Technical Diploma (MQF Level 5) with 9+ years in manufacturing experience
• Strong practical hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting, fault finding, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Familiarity with Lean, 5S, HACCP, ISO, and TPM practices.

Compensation Package

Includes basic salary plus allowances (car cash, communication, shift, disturbance, government bonus, performance bonus).

Rotating shifts (Morning: 6am2pm, Afternoon: 2pm10pm, Night: 10pm6am)
